Celeste Marchese I went into media studies GCSE thinking "we'll only watch films", guess what? Media studies doesn't mean "yay let's watch films", it means that you need to study and make a massive effort. I love it! The media studies world introduced me to a side of me that I didn't know about. I've enjoyed the 2 year course so much that I decided to get into A level. So here I am, ready to start the year!

Horror trailer experience and media
I really enjoyed making this because my classmates and I had a lot of fun filming and editing. This really gave us the chance to create our own content and to show the world our passion for media. However, media is not only film-making and analysing movies, almost everything is linked to it; every ad you see, every blog you read, and basically… THE WHOLE INTERNET. I hope you guys enjoy reading our blog and truly involve yourself in the media studies world.

I didn't do media in GCSE. I know... What was I thinking? But it's better late than never right? I mean, I did media for a year and since then, I've felt drawn to the subject , so here I am, awfully excited to start the course!
I chose ICT instead of media studies because I was too afraid to plunge myself into a pool of the unknown. I regret it, ICT is a lovely subject, it's just not for me, you know? I saw my classmates so excited about choosing media studies and I just didn't feel the same way about ICT. I couldn't understand why they loved it so much, until I saw what it was like. I accompanied a friend, who did media studies GCSE, so she could edit a bit her final project. As I saw how creative her work was I realised I loved the subject. Since then I was confident enough to choose it for my A-level course. It's only been two weeks and it already makes me so happy!
